There are many things in the Bible that help me to have confidence and faith in the overpowering forgiveness of G-D. One of the most significant is the book of Deuteronomy. Yes, the last book of the Torah, or first five books of the Bible.
ADONAI-Shalom is another example of a compound name of God that is revealed in the naming of an altar. The previous name of ADONAI related to an altar is ADONAI-Nissi, ADONAI is my banner (Ex. 17:15).
